Women's Skiing/Snowboarding/Toboggan
Enhancement Clinics at Shawnee Peak

Who is this in the picture? Why it is none other than Maine's Northern Section Chief and Assistant Region Director, Wayne Arsenault! Wayne came to introduce the Women's Skiing/Snowboarding/Toboggan Enhancement Clinic at Shawnee Peak on January 30 and was inappropriately dressed! So - the clinic's instructors dressed him up as he should be for a women's clinic!

The event was organized by Denise Pascucci of Shawnee Peak and was well attended with 16 women from several Maine Region Patrols: Shawnee Peak, Hermon Mountain, Mount Abram, and Sunday River. The instructors were Jane Williams (Eastern Division S&T Steering Committee and Women's Program Advisor) and Sue Kelly, Karen Keane, & Deb Brown from the NH Region- members of the Eastern Division Women's Program Staff.

Successful Student / Young Adult Clinic held on February 6th at Shawnee Peak, ME

The 2010 Maine Region Student Ski Patrol Clinic was held February 6, 2010 at Shawnee Peak Ski Area. Jim Viehl, the region advisor, organized the event. Dan Pascucci, Denise Pascucci, Paul Rawson, and Andy Smith evaluated the students OEC skills at number of skills and scenario stations. Eastern District Student Advisor, Craig Larson put the students through ski/snowboard and toboggan skills with the help of Jesse Cottingham and Alissa Leonard. Eighteen students, from Shawnee Peak and Mt. Abrams, participated in the events.
